Now that the remodel and addition to our Maryland house is complete we wanted to send a note of sincere appreciation for getting us through another project beautifully and successfully! It is so perfect both inside and out! We are looking forward to enjoying our new spaces up there this summer. As Athena demonstrated when we built our Naples home nearly 14 years ago, and again in its remodel of '14 - '15 her ingenuity, architectural, and space planning talents once more saved the day! When the architect was struggling getting both the addition and enclosed porch to fit with the house architecture and site Athena stepped in to show how to make it work just perfectly. She really impressed the architect! These unique skills as well as her access to a full spectrum of subcontract trades and interior furnishings here in Naples position Odyssey to take on any kind of remodel or new construction project. In just a few words - "She can do it all". It was certainly a great blessing to meet Athena and JR way back in 2003!!
Working with Athena at Odyssey Interiors has been the most enjoyable "redo" experience from start to finish. Athena asked to see my inspiration pictures and then listened to my thoughts on how I wanted to use the space. She "got it" immediately. She drew the most interesting plans and guided me thru the purchasing of all of the appliances fixtures furniture and window treatments. Athena does not leave anything to chance she checked every small detail before during and after construction. We used Winfield Construction as the contractor and John and Athena have a great working relationship, everything was completed timely and with the best of quality. My husband and I were beyond pleased with the finished product. It is perfect!

We have used Athena and Odyssey on three major projects. It would be hard for us to consider anyone else. She adapts well to any style of décor and has an amazing foresight for any space. Athena Thompson is the most talented designer we have ever worked with. We bought a large, unfinished beachfront condo in Florida and had no idea where to start. We met with 3 Design Firms and Odyssey was the clear choice from the moment we met Athena. She gleaned some of the unfocused vision we had in our heads and made the magic happen. She took a shell and designed: custom cabinetry and built-ins which were expertly installed by her Husband, JR ; chose marble and tile finishes for all bathrooms and worked with the fabricators; designed lighting plan and provided expert electrical installation; designed and chose window treatments with master craftsman workmanship; and chose beautiful and functional furnishings that we enjoy every day. Athena met all of our deadlines and budget requests, and has such a great rapport with her craftsman and sub-contractors that we never had to worry that we were not present. We could not be happier. Several others in our building have since worked with Odyssey after seeing her work in our home. Subsequently, we built a custom home in New Jersey and Athena provided the Builder with Architectural changes, lighting and electrical plans, trim plans, slab and tile plans, and flooring plans as well as furniture placement. The house turned out so much better with her input and direction, even long distance. We highly recommend Odyssey Interior Design Inc.

Company was fantastic, great ideas and products. They were able to respond quickly to my changes. Athena was able to work well with our contactors we had pre chosen for small poritions of the work. We have used Athena Thompson and her company, Odyssey Interior Design, numerous times in two of our residences. There are numerous designers in the greater Naples area, but we have not come across anyone with Athena's imagination and taste. We have nothing but the highest praise for her work. Starting with conceptualizing and then designing the spaces we were decorating, Athena drew detailed perspective drawings for us for each room. After we worked out various details she presented us with structures, fabrics, and furniture choices which were beyond the “usual” yet did not stray into an overly "designer design”. Athena is extremely flexible and she worked with us to give us the looks we wanted.
What you get when you employ Athena and her staff is multi-talented professionals and that translates into reasonable pricing because you don’t have to go to numerous designers and sub-contractors to get the job done. Her’s is a one-stop-shop, if you so chose.

We cant thank Athena and Odyssey Interior Design enough for making our dream home in Northern Michigan come true. Odyssey Interior Design completed our Bonita Springs and I honestly didnt think Athena could top our Bonita Springs home but she did so with our Michigan home. Our Northern Michigan home was a challenging project and if you saw the before pictures you would understand. Athena hit a grand slam. Our Northern Michigan home looks like it belongs in a magazine.
